Was on my weekly tour of radio playlists and youtube research all in the name of finding choons (makes sign of the T) for Popstarz and accidentally came across some GOOD INDIE. Yes folks, I just said good and indie juxtaposed. I was blown away - indie that sounds like Editors, Arcade Fire, Secret Machines and Keane all at the same time - fuck it, I'll be honest, it even reminded me of The Killers. The bass is really good; Proper Joy Division simplicity. They have an odd background with five members all from different countries, and a lead singer who is as ugly as Iggy Pop and Bowie. This mixed background is probably what makes them sound both American Indie and British Indie simultaneously. It's music written for fans of music. The influences come thick and fast and they are all great.
